A fascinating and friendly family of Pacific Bottlenose dolphins is always ready to meet and play with new friends, so a special dolphin interaction program has been developed that gives children ages 4 to 9 the chance to get closer to dolphins than they ever dreamed possible!

The "for kids only" dolphin adventure gives smaller children the chance to learn about, interact, and play with a family of Pacific Bottlenose dolphins in the fun and safe environment of this dolphin center in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.

Designed to be fun, very informative and completely interactive, this dolphin encounter is a 30-minute program that starts with a poolside introduction to the dolphins. Then, under the supervision of an experienced dolphin trainer, kids get to spend 15 minutes touching and interacting with the dolphins on a shallow shelf in a specially designed pool.

Kids have always been fascinated by dolphins and the group sizes are kept small so everyone will have a chance to pet, hug, and even kiss the dolphins. Kids also get to sing with and feed the dolphins before this ultimate experience ends with a fun belly ride or flotation raft ride in the main pools. Then the dolphins will happily say goodbye as they show off their spectacular jumps!

--Do I need to be able to swim to participate in the dolphin programs?
No. Although the water in these very large saltwater pools is too deep to stand in (4 meters), participants are provided with life vests and need only be strong enough to pull themselves through the water. Furthermore, in this program the children will spend the majority of their time interacting with the dolphins while standing on the shallow beach area around the dolphin pool.

--What is the minimum age to participate?
This is an interactive program specially designed for children ages 4-9 only.

--Can I enter the water with my child?
No. Parents may accompany their children to the poolside observation area for no extra charge but do not interact with the dolphins.

--How many people participate in each dolphin swim?
In order to give you the ultimate opportunity to interact amongst these lovable creatures, group sizes are kept to a minimum to maximize the experience.

--Do you offer an observation area for non-participants?
Yes! We offer an exclusive dolphin viewing area which is available to guests who are accompanying other paying guests, such as friends or family. This area is not open to the general public. However, in the dolphin store, we have viewing porthole windows where anyone can admire the dolphins playing and swimming in their underwater world!

--May I bring a camera or video camera to take pictures?
For the safety of the dolphins, spectators are not permitted to take cameras into any of the pool areas. Those of you participating in a program will -not- be able to bring a camera, waterproof camera or video camera with you into the water. However, our photographers will be on hand to capture your dolphin experience. DVDs and photographs are available for purchase after your children are done with their experience. Photos start at $15 USD each and a 15 minute DVD costs $45 USD.

--What should I bring with me?
Guests must wear swimwear during the encounter.

--Are there any items I am not allowed to bring?
For the safety of the dolphins, no jewelry may be worn during the dolphin encounter in the pool area. Also, sunscreen cannot be used during the experience.

--Are there lockers at the dolphin center where I can leave my things?
Yes, we provide lockers free of charge to all participants in the dolphin programs.
